• How old is your opener? (12 yrs or older it may be time to consider a new unit).
• Do all my remotes work well?
• Do I want to add an outside keypad?
• Does my current opener have all the current safety features?

Answers to these questions will help you decide whether to repair you existing opener or buy a new one. The more items that don’t work well or not at all is a good indication it’s less expensive in the long run to replace your opener!

Photo eyes have been required on openers since 1993 and any opener that does not have photo eyes should be replaced.

• Chain Drive openers are less expensive and are better designed for heavier wood doors.
• Belt Drive openers are quieter and last longer before repairs.
• Jackshaft’s are designed for low overhead clearance and are also very quiet.
• Screw Drive - we do not sell or recommend them as they are not well suited for our climate.
